How to brief a corporate event organiser in Malaysia
The strongest briefs we receive are short. They are clear about the audience, the decision the event should influence, and how success will be measured.
A good brief does not need a full programme. It needs four things: who must be in the room, what you want them to do differently afterwards, the non-negotiable dates, and the budget envelope you are working within.
Audience quality is where most corporate events are won or lost. Two hundred of the right delegates will always outperform six hundred of the wrong ones, and the acquisition strategy for senior audiences looks nothing like general registration marketing.
Define measurement before you design content. Qualified meetings, media reach, policy outcomes and pipeline value are all valid — but they lead to very different programme structures, so choose early.
